Hi Charles/Jannice
Just like to say thank you for arranging everything last weekend and making our 30th wedding anniversary very special. Driving such a classic was an absolute joy and the Hotel you arranged for us was lovely. We hope to come back again sometime next year and try maybe the Morgan or the MGA.
Once again many thanks.
Chris

Just to say how much Joan & I enjoyed our day driving around the North
York Moors with the top down in the MGB Roadster on Sunday. This was
real driving, concentrating on the road & the car rather than just
sitting back with the radio on. Modern cars are detached from the
driving experience. Another benefit of course is that wherever you park, people want to know about the car & you can park it almost anywhere & people are pleased to
see it. Lots of people in work have taken your website details so I hope they
get in touch. We will certainly be back.
Thanks for a memorable day

Dear Charles,
Just to say what a fantastic time we had on Sunday and Monday driving the
fabulous Morgan (what a car!) around the Lake District. We were SO lucky to
have the most wonderful weather in the most stunning of landscapes - a
truly fantastic driving experience. I attach a couple of photographs which I
hope show you how stunning the whole experience was for us.
Many Thanks and Regards,
Christa and Ged

Hi Charles,

Just a little note to say we really enjoyed the trip in the car today, pity we couldnt have longer, but Nick had to get back to attend to some business matters, but great fun nevertheless. The car is fantastic, a lot of love and hard work goes into them I can see, a real credit to you. Fantastic Service and will be sure to recommend you to anyone should they be looking for a gift/experience like this. Hope to see you again in the future!
Thanks again for all your help with the booking.

Charles
Just had to send you an email to thank you so much for a fantastic two
days.  I understand that normally you expect your clients to collect the
cars from you, but you agreed with my wife Terri to bring the Morgan to
the hotel.  That meant that until you turned up and took me down to the
hotel garage I had absolutely no idea what was happening.  Your
thorough talk through the car and its instruments and the brief drive
around York gave me the confidence I needed to drive the Morgan.
We had an absolutely fabulous two days.  Early on Saturday morning we
headed off in bright sunshine to the Moors and quickly got on to the
narrow North York Moor roads and were rewarded with stunning scenery
round every bend.  Nobody wanted to stop for long and we all enjoyed the
excitement of the twists and turns of the narrow York Moor roads - with
barely another car in sight.  I soon got accustomed to the Morgan, the
heavy braking, the heavy steering and the gear changes and didn't put a
foot wrong the entire two days.   I can't imagine doing that journey in
any other car it seemed so appropriate for the roads and the scenic
backdrop - the weather was a bonus.
I loved every minute of being behind the wheel and it was with great
reluctance that we finally bought the Morgan back.  We have memories  of
this weekend that we will all treasure for a long time and it was so
good to see all the family excitedly grinning and laughing the whole
time. For a while we were a family of five Morgans and I only wish it could
have stayed that way.
Thanks again I so appreciate the experience.

Hi Charles and Jannice

Just want to say a massive thank you for the hire of your fantastic car,
we had a great time with many admiring glances.  The car looked
stunning, drove like a dream and we were fortunate enough to get a few
periods of sunshine to get the roof down.  Many thanks again and I am
sure we will be contacting you again soon to arrange another outing.
Kind Regards
Leanne Cook

Dear Charles. The Morgan was fantastic - it felt so taught, I believe we achieved over 35 to the gallon and the seats more than made up for the firm suspension. I have a dodgy back and can only last 60 miles in my C5 before sciatica sets in; no problem in the Morgan and I drove over 200 miles in the 2 days. Thanks again for a brilliant weekend. Best wishes Steve Taylor

Hi Charles
We would just like to express our Thanks yet again for the wonderful day we
had recently driving the Morgan around the Yorkshire Moors and Wolds. We
can't stop talking about the experience and it was a dream come true for
Alison and myself. Our daughter Hannah whom is 5 years old also really
enjoyed herself. Alison was almost in tears when we arrived to pick the
Morgan up. I had kept it a secret for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and when
we pulled into the drive Alison was really taken back. Our daughter was
also very excited about riding in the car. Me too.

The car was perfect in every way and was ideal for exploring the North
Yorkshire Moors and the Wolds. When we drove through Helmsley Alison
commented that she felt like a celebrity as most people glanced round to
see the car and one or two even took some photographs which made our day.
The Picnic basket was also fabulous. The food and choice was excellent. It
added to the romance of the journey especially as it was in full view on
the luggage rack.
We can't thank you enough for making this experience a very special one and
it is something that we will never forget
Maybe one day I will be fortunate enough to own one.
Many Thanks and regards.
John, Alison and Hannah.

"Hello Charles,
I just wanted to write to say a big thank you for the time you gave us on Sunday. We had such a lovely day - and it has convinced us we are doing the right thing in investing in an MGA. Your car is absolutely wonderful - a tribute to you and all the time and effort it must have taken. Your advice regarding buying our own car was invaluable, thanks."

I hired an E-type Jaguar and the Old Smithy Cottage as a surprise 60th birthday treat for my husband. What a fantastic combination.

Everything was perfect thanks to Reflections, York and Colin and Ann's beautifully renovated cottage. Nothing was too much trouble for them and Ann's breakfast was so large, we couldn't eat until evening!

Our son, daughter and partners visited and we spent an afternoon in the lovely garden in the sunshine.

With Ann and Colin's recommendations we ate out at beautiful places and thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Amazing car, amazing cottage, amazing time!!

Hannah has already added to the Guest Book (see 30th May) for our recent stay but I would like to add my comments as well. We have stayed at many B & B's in our 40 years of married life and I can honestly say that the experience of meeting Ann and Colin was second to none...what a lovely loving couple. Ann's Cottage will never be beaten in my eye's. It is obvious from reading other entries that we were not a 'one off' but we were made to feel so special with the friendship shown from the moment we arrived. Hannah arranged the Cottage (and car) for me and boy what a superb present. The breakfast's kept us going all day as we drove around the Moors/Dales, terrific. I arrived totally stressed out and left feeling 10 years younger. Thank you both (and Hannah) so very much. We will be back.

We had a fantastic time.
Sunday afternoon walk to Rosedale Abbey and back. Excellent dinner at the Fox and Hounds, Sinnington.
Monday morning walk to Rosedale via Northdale- through the woods above the cottage and down the lovely little river valley. Later, drove over the moors to Whitby - famous fish and chips at the Magpie cafe, returning back across the moors at dusk.
Tuesday wet - York railway museum and the old city. Enormous dinner at the Blacksmiths Arms, Lastington. Dodged the sheep and drove back via the scenic route over Chimney Bank.
Wednesday - my Christmas present - a day's hire of an MGA from Reflections Classic Car Hire. The weather was brilliant - blue sky and sunshine all day - and the car was fantastic - fully restored over an 18 month period by the proprieter, Charles. We drove up and down 3 in 1 hills, along narrow byways in 'hidden' valleys and across the tops of the moors. Lunch at Rievaulx. The whole day was very memorable.
Thursday - the famous '12 mile walk' around the rim of the valley, along the disused railway. This was fantastic with magnificent views across the valley and relics of the Victorian iron workings. Dinner at the White Swan in Pickering - slept soundly that night!
Friday - Scarborough, via the car museum at Thornton le Dale. Some interesting cars, motor cycles and commercial vehicles, plus the biggest collection of miscellaneous parts, equipment and motoring memorabilia that I have ever seen. Also visited Murray Scott Nelson in Scarborough - the renowned restorer of Austin Healey 3000 sports cars. Fish and Chips (again!) at Mother Hubbards - highly recommended. Visited Robin Hoods Bay on the way back. That evening, we walked up the road beyond the cottage, just taking in the ambiance one last time.
It was beautiful just to sit outside the cottage and listen to the birdsong - so tranquil.
I had not been to this area before but enjoyed every minute - returning home feeling fighting fit after all the fresh air and exercise
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Ann's Cottage - it is a very special place and Ann and Colin made us so welcome.
