MG Car Club Yorkshire weekend |
|
The East Yorkshire group of the MG car club will be holding their next social weekend on the North Yorkshire Moors this April and two of our cars will be going along. The MGA and the MGB are scheduled to be used for the 3 day event based at Malton and covering around 150 miles per day of scenic driving. The MGA has been used many times for this event, but this is the first year for the MGB. We're sure that the drivers and navigators will have a great time and enjoy the experience of driving the sometimes challenging routes. At the end of the day a few drinks and dinner allow the time to talk about the fun and the sights. The MGA and the MGB joined another 13 cars including a classic Mercedes saloon for this 3 day event. The first day was an 80 mile drive through the Wolds from Hull to Malton, taking in some beautiful back roads in East Yorkshire. The Old Lodge Hotel in Malton was the base and provided great meals and a warm welcome as ever. On the second day the route took in Malton, Cayton bay, Scarborough, sands end, Whitby, Danby, Rosedale and Hutton le Hole on a 130 mile drive. The third day was back up onto the moors to rosedale chimney and then down into the vale of york, stopping at Thirsk for lunch. Another excellent MGCC event.
